The Dewhurst weatherproof pushbutton uses innovative proprietary waterproof technology integrated within our compact 3 XR pushbutton body. The circular shaped pushbutton has been tested to IP55.
The pushbutton is made up of five elements: switch body, illumination, pressel, moulded seal & O ring and C3 IP protected surround.
The character or symbol, can be with braille (US95 style) or without braille (US91 style), the pressel finish can be a wide range of materials and the legend and halo (light created between the pressel and the surround) can be illuminated in a wide variety of colours.
Switch body
The functional part of the pushbutton – the weatherproof pushbutton is available with Dewhurst Compact 3 and Compact 3P switch bodies
Illumination
Single, dual, and bicolour+ LED illumination options are available for the weatherproof pushbutton. These illuminate both the legend and the halo. They are easily replaceable and available in blue, white, red, yellow and green
Pressel
The pressel is the faceplate of the pushbutton. Dewhurst Weatherproof pushbuttons use extended depth pressels, which can either be with braille (US95 style) or without braille (US91 style). The pressel finish can be a wide range of materials. There is an extensive range of pressel legends available
Moulded seal & O ring
The high durability rubber moulded seal and O ring are essential to weatherproofing the product. These items easily slide on to the pressel and restrict moisture and dust from getting into the working mechanism of the pushbutton
C3 IP protected surround
The IP protected surround seals the pushbutton to the faceplate through a high density foam layer. The specially designed quality chrome surround has a unique cavity to ensure correct fitment of the pressel and the seal
